Your Utopia

Even when both sides agree to compromise, there is always a side that compromises more than the other.

The sun doesn't rise because you people gave it a permit. The rain doesn't fall because you people gave it a permit, either. Long, long before you created your corporations and became obsessed with profit, nature existed. We are simply living by it.

...it doesn’t mean the world will change. There will still be those who will continue to be beaten in silence, and those who will continue to die in silence. But maybe there will also be those who will survive. And I want to be able to have as little shame as possible when I stand before those who do.

Still, if I mourn and mourn with my body and soul, if I go out into the streets and act and try with what strength I have to make a difference for the sake of my survival and the survival of others, that can’t be taken away. I will not be ashamed before the victims and their families, and we will be progressing slowly, very slowly but surely, toward a better world for both you and me—as we survive, and remember, and mourn.

Hope exists if you think it to existence. If you don't have any, you can just make it up.

Humans are born, they grow, they are active, they age, and then die. That is human.

If we could understand that god so well, they wouldn't be a god in the first place. But I believe there is something that's grander than what we can perceive with our five senses or comprehend with our human minds.

As someone who believes in no religion, I can't bring myself to add the "Amen" at the end. If God is a man, he could never understand the mundane threats women experience every single day of our lives.

What I never could forget are the feelings I had in certain moments. Even when memories, logic, and reason all disappear, those feelings will remain to the end.

Looking around the fancily decorated exhibition hall, I could see how obsessed humanity had been with living forever and how this obsession had continued from the dawn of history to today, which was awe-inspiring on one hand and, I don’t know, pitiable on the other, a complicated combination of emotions.

Just because I want things to go back the way they were, it doesn’t mean they will.
