This Is Kind of an Epic Love Story

I’m realizing it doesn’t really matter if we have a happy ending or not. We’re happy right now. That’s the important part, right?

If you feel the need to do it - to write, or paint, or take photos or anything - then that’s what you have to do. That’s the one most important thing you can do. Because if you don’t, then there isn’t any point to anything, right? You’ve got to do it. You’ve got to keep writing.

Maybe the ending isn't even really the point. Just as long as there was a happy somewhere along the way.

When the lights go off in a movie theatre, everyone becomes this one entity: the audience watching the film. And most films aim to get the same emotions out of people. The same reactions. To laugh or be scared or cry or be inspired. The audience goes in as individuals and comes out as people who’ve all experienced the same thing, are all feeling the same way.

I’m sick and tired of looking around at everyone else falling in love, and telling myself that I don’t deserve it, too.

I don't really know what's worse: living without love so that you don't get hurt, or getting hurt repeatedly in an attempt to find it.

Maybe the way you love changes from person to person.

You don't need to die for each other to make this exciting. Just the fact that you're here, together--that's epic enough.

There’s always going to be pain and anger and heartbreak and frustration. But there’s going to be joy, too.

It's ok to love someone." "I know that." I didn't know that. I still don't think I do. It's a little like voluntarily standing in front of a firing squad. Opening myself up to be hurt, since I knoe hurt is inevitable.

But even if that happens - that doesn’t take away anything that happened before. The present. The fun you’ll have, everything you’ll learn about yourself. Nothing will take that away. So is it worth it? You’re damned right it’s worth it.

I have a thought that’s starting to become more and more of a recurring theme in my life: I probably should’ve just stayed home and watched Friends with my mom.
