The First to Die at the End

Life doesn't care how young you are. It forces you to grow up anyway.

I write short stories because I am one. I wish I was a novel. Breaths away from midnight, I know my final chapter is close. I look up at Valentino, wondering what life could’ve offered if I had more pages in me.

It's heartbreaking how much it costs to be alive when you're always dying.

I understand that the person who gets the Death-Cast call isn’t the only one dying. If you really hold someone in your heart, you die too.

A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for

It’s not fair how someone can do everything right and still be hurt because someone else does one thing wrong.

Here's the truth no one ever wants to admit when death is on the horizon, or when you're deep in that grief—as long as you keep existing, you'll keep breathing, and if you're breathing, one day you'll start living again.

I'm too scared to even breathe because I might breathe too gay.

Freedom should be freeing, but that doesn't mean it can't be heartbreaking.

Love is a superpower...It's one we all have, but it's not a superpower you'll always be able to control. It'll get harder when you get older too. Don't be scared if you find yourself loving someone you're not expecting to. If it's right, it's right.

It's so strange how we tell someone who's dying to hold on, as if they have a choice.

I'm no longer a short story. I'm now a novel. Better yet, I'm a work in progress.

I want you to make more discoveries in your city, and I want you to be brave enough to make the first move again the next time someone catches your eye. And someone will catch your eye again. Please don't deny yourself that out of fear of losing someone again, or guilt because you're living on and I can't.

There’s a million reasons why someone won’t come out. What might seem like no big deal to one person is the whole universe to another.

And I'll maybe even fall in love again, and I'll make sure I say it before it's too late.

Freaking out about death every minute isn't a good life, and yet, tons of people are freaking out about death every minute.

It's a terrible loss whenever someone assumes they have more time than they do.

Hey, I might suck at history, but I can make it.

I would've loved that. I feel robbed." "You were robbed.

I was wrong to think I no longer have a life to run for. I do. It’s just not my own.

It goes to show that even on your way out, there’s still time to let people in.

don’t know if I can orbit around someone this beautiful and not just fall in love, stay in love, and die in love.

This is the way the world ends / Not with a bang but a whimper.

Belief is less about what you say and more about what you feel.
