You will not break loose until you realize that you yourself forge the chains that bind you.

Misery loves company, but that doesn’t mean you have to accept the invitation.

In fact, if you look at the last four syllables of the word individuality, you will see that they spell duality. That’s not just a semantic accident.

But your forgiveness is done here, which means you should be practical — and respectful of other people and their experience. In other words, when you’re living your everyday life, be kind. Your job isn’t to correct others. Just help the Holy Spirit clean up your wrong mind by switching to your right mind, and then leave the rest to Him.

The biggest advances are not made by being a great teacher; they are made by being a great student.

for now just try to remember that if God is perfect Love, then He is not anything else, and neither are you. You are, in fact, the Love of God, and your real life is with Him. Like J, you will come to know and experience that God is not outside of you. You will no longer identify yourself with a vulnerable body or anything else that can be limited, and a body is anything that has borders or limits. You will learn instead of your true reality as pure spirit that is invulnerable forever.

There is a way of living in the world that is not here, although it seems to be. You do not change appearance, though you smile more frequently. Your forehead is serene; your eyes are quiet.

You save the world by concentrating on your own forgiveness lessons.

People are always looking for God to answer their prayers. If they knew more about how to pray then they’d know how the answer is given. His answers don’t come in the form of physical answers, they come to your mind in the form of guidance — an inspired idea,

I need to bring my illusions to the truth instead of giving truth to my illusions.

As far as the ego’s plan is concerned, your seemingly multiple problems show up in this world in an attempt to get you to react — to feel bad, guilty, mad, defeated, bored, scared, inferior, self-conscious, annoyed, lonely, or superior and condescending. It’s all some kind of a judgment, regardless of the form. As soon as you make that judgment, you give validity to the ego’s world and reinforce the seeming reality of the separation and everything that goes with it.

The ego is a master illusionist, and one of the ways it diverts your attention, from the moment you’re born, is by giving you — and this calls for another drum roll, please — problems.

You need not fear the Higher Court will condemn you. It will merely dismiss the case against you. There can be no case against a child of God, and every witness to guilt in God’s creations is bearing false witness to God Himself. Appeal everything you believe gladly to God’s Own Higher Court, because it speaks for Him and therefore speaks truly. It will dismiss the case against you, however carefully you have built it up. The case may be fool-proof, but it is not God-proof. The Holy Spirit will not hear it, because He can only witness truly. His verdict will always be “thine is the Kingdom,” because He was given to you to remind you of what you are.

The truth is the truth whether you agree with it or not. The truth is not subject to your interpretation.

I didn’t know it, but I was at war with myself and I was losing.

You can lead a human to water, but you can’t make him drink.

Control of your mind even gives you the power to stop pain

Guilt asks for punishment, and its request is granted. Not in truth, but in the world of shadows and illusions built on sin.

I thought I was good after a few years. After ten years I realized I was still improving.

Let J or the Holy Spirit make your decisions for you whenever you have the time to ask.

As was often the case with the ego’s script, the plot added up to “damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

God’s answers are internal, not external. If something shows up in the world it’s a symbol. Don’t think that God acts in the world; He doesn’t. The results of following your guidance can show up in the world as symbols of safety or abundance.

…Can you find light by analyzing darkness, as the psychotherapist does, or like the theologian, by acknowledging darkness in yourself and looking for a distant light to remove it, while emphasizing the distance?
