Vader had been a fire, a twisting sun-dragon that curled in the core of a star about to go nova. The Emperor, Palpatine, had been the exact opposite – he was ice, the terrifying cold of the bottom of an endlessly deep ocean, the abyssal plain, no hope; a cold so absolute, so ultimate, that all life withered in its presence.

The Force... was a living thing, in the crudest terms an energy field that bound the universe together. The Force was not a power, not something to be wielded, or used, or manipulated. Rather, it was something that allowed others to share in it - a thing vast and alive and yet not sentient.

Anaximander shook his head. This Ochi was such an amateur—overconfident, thinking that his power was measured by the number of minions he had at his beck and call. Anaximander knew full well that if you wanted something done, you did it yourself.

Let the Force guide you. Let it flow through you as it flows through me. Use that power, and your instincts, for they are one and the same.
