“It’s All in Your Mind Whatever you hold in your mind will tend to occur in your life. If you continue to believe as you have always believed, you will continue to act as you have always acted. If you continue to act as you have always acted, you will continue to get what you have always gotten. If you want different results in your life or your work, all you have to do is change your mind. —Anonymous INTRODUCTION One of my favorite sayings is, “Where the mind goes, the man follows.”
― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind
“All of us have the privilege and responsibility of choosing our attitudes, no matter what circumstances or situations we find ourselves in. The key word here is choosing. Attitudes don’t just happen; they are the products of our choices.”
― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind
“You may have heard the saying, “Refusing to forgive is like drinking poison and hoping it kills the other person.”

― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind
“Todo está en tu mente Cualquier cosa que albergues en tu mente tenderá a suceder en tu vida. Si continúas creyendo como siempre has creído, continuarás actuando como siempre has actuado. Si continúas actuando como siempre has actuado, continuarás obteniendo lo que siempre has obtenido. Si quieres resultados diferentes en tu vida o en tu trabajo, lo único que tienes que hacer es cambiar tu mentalidad.”
― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind
“POWER THOUGHT 1 I can do whatever I need to do in life through Christ. “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].” Philippians 4:13”
― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind

― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind
“La vida no está libre de problemas, y nunca lo estará. Solamente encontrarás a un grupo de personas que están libres de problemas, y tienes que ir al cementerio de tu ciudad para encontrarlas. Mientras tengamos aliento, vamos a tener épocas de abundancia y épocas en que luchemos, épocas en que las circunstancias sean buenas y otras en que sean malas. Que las circunstancias hagan lo que quieran; en cuanto a ti, decide permanecer estable.”

“An organization once offered a bounty of five thousand dollars apiece for wolves that were captured alive. Enticed by the idea of such money, Sam and Jed eagerly set out through the forests and into the mountains in search of the animals that could secure their fortune. They fell asleep under the stars one night, exhausted after days of enthusiastic hunting. Sam awoke in the middle of the night and saw about fifty wolves surrounding him and Jed—hungry wolves, baring their teeth, with their eyes glistening at the thought of easy human prey. Realizing what was going on, Sam nudged his friend and said eagerly, “Jed, wake up! We’re rich!”1 A positive attitude enables you to make the best of every situation, and that gives you power over your circumstances instead of allowing your circumstances to have power over you. This was certainly true for Sam. While most people would be terrified when surrounded by a wolf pack, Sam saw the opportunity he’d been waiting for. Make a commitment today to be a positive person. The more positive you are, the more powerful you’ll be.”

― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind

― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind
“Real love has little to do with gooey emotions and goose bumps; and it has everything to do with the choices we make about the way we treat people.”
― Joyce Meyer, quote from Power Thoughts: 12 Strategies to Win the Battle of the Mind
“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass.”

“Let's be friends based on mutual hate.”
― Bryan Lee O'Malley, quote from Scott Pilgrim, Volume 3: Scott Pilgrim & The Infinite Sadness
“When Kylie was ready, Blair went into her friend’s room and lay next to her on the bed. Blair started to thread her fingers through the doctor’s soft curls, speaking to her in a soothing voice. “It’s gonna be all right. Everything will work out. We’re gonna be one small, happy family.” She kept up her ministrations, until she felt Kylie’s body relax, and then slowed down and finally stopped. Kylie was sound asleep, and Blair couldn’t resist staying right where she was. She nestled her cheek against Kylie’s back, listening to her strong, sure heartbeat and the steady intake of breath. It’s gonna be so nice when I can sleep with her, she thought. Just lying here with her calms me down. She noticed that Mackenzie was unusually calm, too, and whispered, “Mama Kylie calms you down, too, doesn’t she, Mackenzie? All we have to do now is convince her that we’re gonna love her as much as she loves us.”
― Susan X. Meagher, quote from All That Matters
“You know, there's that silly saying 'We're born alone and we die alone' -it's nonsense. We're surrounded at birth and surrounded at death. It is in between that we're alone.”

“This is bigger than a fart in a bathtub, you know.”
― John Marsden, quote from A Killing Frost
“He smiled. "You’re into me, I can tell."
"I’m not into you," I said hotly. Hotly, because as soon as the words left my lips, sparklers erupted on top of my head.
Hudson looked at them, and a grin spread across his face. The baby cooed and reached out, trying to grab the flaring light. Hudson moved farther away. "Don’t touch. Just look at Mommy’s pretty liar hat."
He was enjoying this way too much. "Okay," I said. "Maybe I like you a little."
The sparklers dimmed, but didn’t go out.
Hudson raised an eyebrow.
"All right," I said, nervously eyeing the area to make sure no one saw us. "I’m into you."
The sparklers died, but I didn’t wait around for more commentary. I headed to the inn. Behind me I heard Hudson still talking to the baby. "Yes, we like Mommy’s flaming hairdo, don’t we?”
― Janette Rallison, quote from My Unfair Godmother
BookQuoters is a community of passionate readers who enjoy sharing the most meaningful, memorable and interesting quotes from great books. As the world communicates more and more via texts, memes and sound bytes, short but profound quotes from books have become more relevant and important. For some of us a quote becomes a mantra, a goal or a philosophy by which we live. For all of us, quotes are a great way to remember a book and to carry with us the author’s best ideas.
We thoughtfully gather quotes from our favorite books, both classic and current, and choose the ones that are most thought-provoking. Each quote represents a book that is interesting, well written and has potential to enhance the reader’s life. We also accept submissions from our visitors and will select the quotes we feel are most appealing to the BookQuoters community.
Founded in 2023, BookQuoters has quickly become a large and vibrant community of people who share an affinity for books. Books are seen by some as a throwback to a previous world; conversely, gleaning the main ideas of a book via a quote or a quick summary is typical of the Information Age but is a habit disdained by some diehard readers. We feel that we have the best of both worlds at BookQuoters; we read books cover-to-cover but offer you some of the highlights. We hope you’ll join us.
